great smoky mountains, tennessee        april 17 - 23, 2011

dogwoods were in full bloom during the week and they were greeted with beautiful light. most days were slightly overcast, though the sun did manage to come through a few times filtered by a high, thin layer of moisture that allowed for a diffuse, even source. it was one of the best weeks of photography i have ever had.
